Spanish

Adolescents should choose Spanish because it is an interesting, useful and enjoyable language that can open many doors for their future. Knowing Spanish can be an advantage in careers such as tourism, hospitality, business and international relations.

Spanish is spoken by millions of people around the world, making it easier to communicate when travelling or meeting people from different cultures.

Our Spanish Courses cater for students aged 13-15, offering learning opportunities at different stages of language development in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).  Our aim is to help every student progress at their own level and develop a lifelong appreciation for the Spanish language.

Together we work to achieve the levels required some of which include:

A1 -Beginner: Students learn basic vocabulary and simple expressions to introduce themselves, talk about their family, school, hobbies and everyday life. They develop the foundations of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Spanish.

B1- Intermediate: Students develop the ability to communicate in familiar situations, describe experiences, express opinions and talk about plans. They improve their understanding of written and spoken Spanish and learn to express themselves with greater confidence and independence.

Through engaging lessons, practical activities and class outings, students strengthen their language skills, build confidence and deepen their understanding of Spanish -speaking cultures.   Class outings include a hop on hop off where students are exposed to a commentary in the Spanish language while enjoying breathtaking views of the Maltese islands.

Another educational outing is a treasure hunt where students complete a variety of tasks in Spanish related to the themes of shopping, clothes and money.
